Al Karm is a city of Tunisia northwest of Tozeur in the Governorate of Siliana. It was created by the French in 1879, originally as a mining town using the nearby Djebel Amour. The town is best known for its date palm oasis, which produces sweet and edible "camer dates". Al Karm is also on the Oued Kelbia, 140 km from Gabes, 444 km from Tunis and 20 km from Tazouguert (or Tazerwert) on the N4 Highway
